What's new at Intrepid English?

Hey there, Intrepid English Learners!

You may have noticed that there have been a few changes around here recently. Let me walk you through what’s new.

Our New Members’ Area

As our range of resources continues to grow, we have decided to make it as simple and easy for our Intrepid English Members to find what they need. To access the new Members’ Area, you must sign in. This section of our website is only available to active members of Intrepid English. If you are not a member, you can join us by choosing a membership level here.

Inside the Members’ Area, you can book one-to-one lessons with your Intrepid English Teachers, study any of the courses in the Intrepid English Academy, join a Group Class, chat in the Intrepid English Community or participate in a group discussion.

If you are not a member of Intrepid English yet, you can also check out one of our four free taster courses for a sneak peek at the Intrepid English Academy.

Our community is friendly and supportive, so feel free to connect with other Intrepid English Members, offer support, ask for help and genuinely have a great time while practising English.

Our New Membership Options

You asked, we answered! Our lovely members asked for a membership level between Fluency Finder and Super Student. Of course, we were happy to oblige! Take a look for yourself. All membership levels offer access to our library of self-study courses, Book Club classes, community forums and more. The price changes based on the number of private and group classes you want to take each month.

Our Laid-back Learner membership level has stayed the same. We are proud to offer unprecedented value for money, even for English learners on a very low monthly budget. For only £29, you can access the full library of Academy courses, 60 minutes of one-to-one English training (which can be taken in two 30-minute lessons if you prefer), our free, weekly Book Club group class and more.

The popular Fluency Finder membership still offers the same market-leading value but at a slightly increased price of £110 for four hours of private lessons and one group class.

The new membership level Goal Getter allows you to take 6 hours of private lessons and two group classes each month. It’s perfect if you sometimes feel like you’d like to take more than one lesson a week but you cannot commit to taking two lessons each week.

Currently, our most popular membership is the Super Student membership. For £199 you get 8 hours of private lessons and four group classes of your choice. This membership is perfect if you have a specific goal and want to meet with a teacher two to four times a week.

Interview with Alyssa Ordu

Hello, and welcome to the Intrepid English podcast. My name is Lorraine, and today, I have a conversation for you. My friend Alyssa is a Diversity and Inclusion Consultant in London. And when I told Alyssa that we were creating a diversity and inclusion course, in the intrepid English Academy, we had a lovely conversation about why diversity and inclusion are so important. I asked her to join me on this podcast as an expert in this field, to break down these big topics so that our English learners and the listeners of this podcast can understand a little bit about what diversity and inclusion are, why they’re so important, and give you a little bit of language that you can use to increase your awareness and broaden your horizons in these essential areas.
